What is the future of plastic bags in cameroon?

 One the greatest problem faced by cameroonians this year is the issue of plastic bags. The degree on the ban of plastic bags  was not welcome by all Cameroonians and they all had their reason. I a country where job opportunities are not available many Cameroonians sell the plastic bags so as to have  a living, so if they are forced not to do what helps them to have a living and the Cameroon government is not ready to give them jobs what do they expect those sellers to become .The government answers that question by saying that the that plastic bags are used in many home so as to preserve hot food and this heat produced by the food create a chemical reaction  which will contaminate the food and may cause cancer in a long run. Their second reason is that many people throw the already used bags every where thereby creating pollution since the bags can take many years before they disintegrate.So the question i ask myself is ,why now? why did they not do so in the past when plastic bags had not had the influence on the lives of the people as they have now .Instead of banning plastic plastic bags they should put the people alarmed on the risks. Another solution may be to compensate those who come with already used plastic bags for recycling and i think that is the best solution.One thing is for sure Cameroonians will never stop using those bags
